Johnny Allen had achieved 193 and 214 miles per hour on Triumph motorcycle at Bonneville Salt Flats. This happened in 1955 and 1956. Yes, that was a very fast ride. That's for sure. And that's where Bonneville got its name.
Remember 1969? The best year of Triumph Bonneville. Malcolm Uphill won the Isle of Man Production TT race. Average speed: 99.99 miles per hour. He rode his Triumph Bonneville T120.
Enough with the history lesson. Bonneville is a great British motorcycle. It was fast, cool, and a hell of a fun to ride. It still is.
I think we all agree on that by now, right? Triumphs are some fine bikes. Having Bonneville as your favorite one isn't that bad decision after all.
